I have a true passion for retro-gaming. So actually, what is retrogaming? Well, some might call it old-school gaming. It is actually about people who like to collect and play games for the past. Some people like retro arcade games and so do I, but I’m more into old-school gaming consoles. Just so we are clear for all the youngsters our there, old-school consoles (which I will cover here) are the Nintendo 8-bit, Sega Master system, SNES and Atari (2600/5200/7800). Of course there are some older systems, like the ZX Spectrum, but I’m not really that hardcore when it comes to those.
Recently, a friend asked me for an example of a retro game that I truly enjoy. This is almost like getting the question “So what is the best song in the world?” so it was hard to pick one. A true classic for me is The Secret of Monkey Island. I Had so much fun with the game and the graphics were really amazing. The plot is very funny and the game play was challenging, just what a kid needed!

Are there really something like “new” retro games? Well, no is the short answer, but there are games designed to feel retro. These are the games I will take bring up in this section. Example you say? One would be the PSP title Half a minute hero, just have a look at the character design to the left:
